Description

Making the right choices for Social Security Planning is a major life decision for you and your clients. Recently, Congress has made some changes that will affect social security for the long term.  This three hour course will talk about the new changes in social security and the actions that must be taken by April 2016 to optimize social security benefits. It will cover strategies to implement as well as go over the new rules. This course is to inform you on the changes that can be made before April 2016 and how to move forward after these strategies are no longer available. You will also learn how to use the social security website to find information and planning strategies as well as learn the combinations and permutations that are available under social security.

Charles E. Hallam, CPA Related Seminars and Products


Charles E. Hallam has over 35 years of investment and financial management experience.  Mr. Hallam specializes in developing comprehensive financial planning solutions for individual high net worth investors. Part of Mr. Hallam’s practice involves working with the attorneys of clients involved with Medicare and Medicaid situations for those disabled as the result of major personal injuries sustained from catastrophic accidents. 

 

Mr. Hallam is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Texas Society of CPAs and the Dallas Chapter of CPAs.  Mr. Hallam began his career with Main Hurdman andCranstonin 1979 prior to its merger with KPMG.  He has owned his own CPA firm. He was a CFO of many private companies before joining Morgan Stanley in 1993. Mr. Hallam performs reviews of continuing education courses for CPAs for the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy.

 

He is a graduate of the University of Houston with a BBA in Accounting.  He has done advanced studies in investing at The Wharton School,UniversityofPennsylvania. 

 

His community service includes being commissioner of under six girls’ soccer in Coppell as well as support for non-profits including Ursuline Academy of Dallas, The Children of Uganda, Aidmatirx and Wings World Quest. 

 

Charles and his wife Irene have three daughters Katy, Kristina and Kara. 


Kathryn Hallam, CFP® Related Seminars and Products


Kathryn Hallam works in the financial services industry in Dallas, Texas. Kathryn works with clients on a daily basis to advise them on all of their financial planning needs. She assists clients with retirement income planning, investments, college planning, mortgages, insurance needs, long term care solutions, as well as social security and Medicare planning. Katy also teaches continuing education seminars for attorneys and CPAs.


Katy received her Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from Oklahoma State University.  She obtained her CFP® certification after fulfilling the education requirement through Boston University. Katy attended the Wharton School of Business at The University of Pennsylvania to meet the education requirement to sit for the CIMA certification exam. Katy is currently working on her Executive MBA through Baylor University.
